In 2023, we supported the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation (QSBCF) through the Pink Ribbon Charity Scramble.
This year’s event profits – with a minimum of THB 100,000 – will once again be donated to the foundation; bringing together MORE people, for MORE fun, raising MORE money for the fight against breast cancer.
October is global Breast Cancer Center Awareness Month. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the world and the leading cause of cancer deaths among Thai women. It also affects a small number of men. Early treatment significantly impacts survival chances.
Key facts on breast cancer:
- 13 people in Thailand die because of breast cancer every day, or 4,800 people per year
- 670,000 casualties in 2022 worldwide
- Most common among women aged 50 to 59
- 94% survival chance in stage 1 versus 28% in stage 4
