A little risk and reward hole with the dog leg right well protected by bunkers. The safe option is to aim to the left part of the fairway, but the more aggressive line will take you closer to these and leave a shorter approach. The fairway leans from left to right so use this to your advantage off the tee. The second shot, often of a sloping downhill lie, demands a lofted floaty shot to hold the slightly smaller green. Be careful to take enough club to avoid the stream running across the front, awaiting any miss-calculated shots. Instruction tip – play the ball toward the back foot, more weight on the front foot!
